Industrial Surveying

Industrial Surveying

Industrial surveying is - as the name suggests - surveys related to industry. It could involve the oil and gas industry, mechanics, the process industry, power plants, etc. The projects may be large or small, and of varying duration.

Anko's services often complement each other, and are rarely isolated single services. When measuring position, height, geometry and dimensions with an accuracy of 0.1 millimeters, such precision measurements are also an important part of the 3D Laser Scanning / Object Scanning service.

Object scanning can be accurate down to 0.1 millimeters. The typical customer groups using Anko's industrial measurement services are major supplier companies like Aker, Kværner and Aibel.

An important service in industry measurement is the mapping of two interfaces meant to fit together - call them "building blocks" if you will.

An important service in industry measurement is the mapping of two interfaces meant to fit together - call them "building blocks" if you will. It could mean manufactured parts built to fit together, or mapping of parts to be replaced. Examples of parts include mechanical equipment, steel structures, or whole pipe lines. Anko would then visit the site, like an offshore installation or building site, and take measurements of the existing unit. The resulting documentation will form the basis for the production of a new unit. Our experience supports the notion that further documentation of accomplished work is becoming increasingly important in the industry.

There are also strict documentation requirements concerning the certification of equipment used.

Anko's services are provided at construction sites, facilities and offshore installations at several different locations around the world.

The international arena is a central workplace for Anko employees, who regularly work on behalf of shipyards and installations in countries like Korea, China, the Netherlands, Spain, and more.
