Aasta Hansteen

On the Aasta Hansteen project in South Korea, Anko had several engineers who were permanently leased to Statoil's team for 16 months. Here, we worked closely with Statoil's site team.

What was done?

During this assignment, there were hundreds of parts made of steel, pipes, and equipment that needed to be in the right place to ensure that the substructure matched the deck structure, which would be connected to each other after transport to Norway.

Anko then provided skilled engineers to perform third-party dimensional control to ensure that parts were correctly placed and dimensioned.

The Aasta Hansteen platform (the floating substructure) was under construction in South Korea.
